The New York State Electrical Contractors Inc. (NYSEC) was founded in Buffalo in 1899 by a handful of individuals who had the dedication and foresight to establish a statewide organization, destined to represent the interests of the electrical construction industry.
In the years
to follow, the Association would be represented in every county of
New York State. The Association has developed into a strong lobby
and service organization, headquartered in Albany. Many regional
electrical contracting associations are affiliated with the State
Association as well as local chapters of the National Electrical
Contractors Association (NECA). The combination of these local
associations and individual members allow for a coordinated,
statewide voice on matters of interest to the entire industry. Our
large membership base also allows for group programs, such as
insurance, which lower the operating costs of our members.
Whether you are a large industrial contractor, or a sole proprietor,
the State Association continually works for your business and the
advancement of the electrical construction industry in New York
State. We stand ready to assist our members to meet the challenges
of operating an electrical contracting firm now and in the future.
