Legislative Issues

 The majority of laws, decisions and directives affecting the electrical construction industry arise from government at the state level. Were it not for the efforts of our Legislative Committee, legal counsel and staff, the industry in which you make your livelihood would be far more difficult for survival today. The Association’s continual efforts include:

• Constant watch on bills of importance to electrical contractors
• Professional lobbyist on retainer
• Coordination with other construction associations on matters of mutual interest

NYSAEC publishes 2 association newsletters to help keep our members informed of events and happenings that affect the electrical/construction industry in New York State.

• Legal Monitor - published monthly this newsletter addresses legal issues pertinent to the construction industry.

• Legislative Update - published periodically this newsletter contains information on legislation affecting you and your business.
