OSHA 300A POSTING 2/1/2025 – 4/30/2025
OSHA requires firms with 11 or more employees to record injuries during the 2024 calendar year on the 300 log, and then post the summary form 300A for the period February 1 to April 30, 2025. Note that it is not necessary to record cases where only first-aid was rendered. If there were no injuries, form 300A must still be posted (indicating zero’s and signed by an officer).
In addition, employers with 20 – 249 employees must submit form 300A electronically via the OSHA Injury Tracking Information (ITA) by March 2, 2025. There are additional filing requirements for employers with 250 or more employees. Further information is available at: https://www.osha.gov/injuryreporting
You must retain the OSHA 300 log and 300A summary, along with applicable C-2 workers comp injury report forms, for a period of 5 years. After 5 years you may discard the OSHA forms, but it is recommended that you keep a copy of all C-2 forms in your files for at least 18 years.
Note all employers must report all work related fatalities within 8 hours and all work related inpatient hospitalizations, all amputations and all losses of an eye within 24 hours. The number is 800 321-OSHA (6742). If an incident of that magnitude were to occur that you should also contact your insurance broker/ carrier for assistance.
The 300 and 300A forms, as well as a wealth of information about completing the OSHA Logs can be obtained at this web address: http://www.osha.gov/recordkeeping/forms
